About Komayaka karate club

Komayaka (Meaning friendly) Karate Club, is a not for profit martial arts club run by Chief Instructor Garry Lewis 6th Dan with Assistant Instructors Mike Wilde 5th Dan and Duwain Chase 4th Dan.

Our Club is continually nutures and supports any student with an interest in Karate. Our reward is watching our students deveop their abilities and become confident individuals regardless of their age.

We promote families training together and regularly bring top Instructors from our association (At no extra cost) to come and expand our students knowledge of Karate. Our club is a member of the United Kingdom All Styles Karate Organisation. All instructors have professional indemnity insurance and have been Enhanced CRB checked.

We welcome anyone interested first to come and watch a session and see if it’s for them. No Karate Gi is required until a student’s first grading

Garry is the Shihan of Komayaka Karte Club which has been operating for the last 17 years in the village of Greenfield, Saddleworth, Oldham.
